Olive Oil Helps Reduce Erectile Dysfunction

A recent study involving approximately six hundred men showed that olive oil helps improve a man’s sexual performance. It keeps blood vessels healthy and improves circulation, resulting in better erections. We’ve long known that olive oil can help reduce a person’s risk for heart disease and stroke, but now we find it’s good for sex, too? Bonus! After years and years of article after article warning that all the good things in life – pizza, cheeseburgers, steaks, etc – are bad, it’s nice to hear that something is actually healthy for us. And it’s something that doesn’t taste like kale! Olive oil is generally used in cooking and salad dressings. Many restaurants now offer flavor-infused olive oils with that pre-dinner bread basket they lay on your table, instead of the standard artery-clogging butter. And, luckily for you, Dear Readers, I have a delicious way to help you get more olive oil into your diet. My grandfather taught me a recipe his father taught him. Coming from Italy, he naturally loved pasta. But later in his life, gravy (tomato sauce to Americans) caused him stomach problems due to the acidity. No problem, Aglio E Olio to the rescue. Aglio E Olio is pasta with garlic and oil. Take a couple cloves of fresh garlic (do NOT use pre-minced garlic in a jar, EVER!), and cut them into thin slices. Add a dash of crushed red pepper and slowly saute over a low heat for about 3-4 minutes. When done, pour it over spaghetti and toss. Before serving, add a little Italian Parsley and grate some Parmigiano-Reggiano over the top. Parmesan cheese works too, but if you’ve never had Reggiano, buy a wedge and do a taste comparison. You will never eat domestic parmesan again, price difference be damned. Veggie lover? Add sundried tomatoes to the mix. Carnivore? Add some pancetta when you’re cooking the garlic. Sweet tooth? Add a tablespoon of white wine. Be creative. American Male Medical – we not only give you tips that lead to better sex, but great recipes too. (Note – caution. If you plan on having sex anytime within 48 hours after eating Spaghetti Aglio E Olio, do your partner a favor. Brush your teeth at least three times, down a couple ounces of mouthwash, and eat a dozen Tic Tacs.)

What foods turn men on?

Aphrodisiacs, named after the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, are foods said to spike your sexual desire. ... What foods are known aphrodisiacs? artichokes. asparagus. chocolate. figs. oysters. spicy chili peppers. strawberries. watermelon.

Do certain foods put you in an amorous mood? Aphrodisiacs, named after the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, are foods said to spike your sexual desire. But do they really work?

What are aphrodisiacs?

Food science researchers have looked for connections that show certain foods lead to an increase in desire. While not necessarily the key to spicing up your love life, certain foods do have 'feel good' compounds, such as capsaicin in chili peppers that enhance bodily sensations or antioxidants in fruits like cherries, pomegranates, figs and strawberries that improve your blood flow. Others, like oysters, asparagus and figs simply resemble our more intimate body parts.

What foods are known aphrodisiacs?

Here are eight of the most common foods said to be known aphrodisiacs. Whether they do put you in the mood or not is up for debate:

artichokes

asparagus

chocolate

figs

oysters

spicy chili peppers

strawberries

watermelon

Experiencing an increased libido while eating these foods may be more of a placebo effect than anything else, but if a romantic dinner of oysters, asparagus and chocolate-dipped strawberries is on the menu for you and your sweetheart, then why not indulge? While it won’t hurt to try a few of these every now and then, a more balanced diet is probably better in the long run. A heart-healthy approach to food, such as the Mediterranean diet, combined with staying physically active is a winning combination to have you feeling your best, ready for whatever happens next
