Aquablation therapy avoids these issues, removing excess tissue without affecting your ability to urinate or engage in sex. The risk of not being able to ejaculate after aquablation is only around 10%, compared to a 30%-100% risk with other approved surgical approaches to treat BPH. The procedure, performed while the patient is under anesthesia in an operating room, typically takes about 45 minutes, almost half as long as traditional prostatectomy.
