If your biggest pet peeve is the sound of peeing – especially in public restrooms – you’re not alone. Although peeing is a natural process and everyone does it, many despise the sound of it and try to absolutely avoid public restrooms for this matter alone. Imagine this: your bladder is on the verge of exploding and you enter a pretty decent public washroom – with no one else inside. You quickly sigh in relief because you can pee your heart out without having to worry about someone else judging the quantity, speed, or odour of your pee. However, the excitement is short-lived when someone walks into the washroom. To make matters more uncomfortable, they’re occupying the cubicle beside you. Goddammit! The big question is, how do you pee silently when it’s pin-drop silent in the washroom? Weirdly enough, there are solutions to overcome this sticky situation. These tips and tricks can allow you to pee worry-free anytime, anywhere:

Put toilet paper in the bowl

This trick works like a charm! What better way to mute the splashing than to layer the water with tissue? Take a few thin sheets of toilet paper and put them inside the toilet bowl. Don’t go bananas with the tissues just to keep your paranoia under control. Also remember that too many tissues can clog the toilet bowl. So be mindful when you do this, especially in public restrooms.

Aim to the side

Ladies, we know this might be a challenge to you, but it can be done. Adjust your position to aim around the sides of the toilet bowl instead of going straight at the water. This way, your peeing sound effect will be drastically reduced from a waterfall to a river stream. Better eh?

Control the speed

Controlling the speed of your pee is one way to reduce the sound of it. There will still be sound, but it’s much better than a loud gushing roar. If your bladder is at capacity, this trick might not work, as your main mission is to bring your body to ease.

Flush the toilet before you go at it

What better way to mask the sound of your pee than with water itself? Flushing the toilet just before you pee is the best way to let you pee in peace. You might need to pee a little faster than normal before the flushing ends. But don’t go flushing every few minutes because you’ll end up wasting litres of water and it might annoy your fellow restroom mates! Use this trick as the last resort because no one likes wasting water for no reason. So there you go. Overcome your phobia of the peeing sound with these trusted methods. Being courteous and having good washroom etiquette goes a long way. So let’s maintain a good hygiene upkeep in our own homes and public toilets!

How can I get pregnant fast with twins?

Taking fertility medication is one of the most common ways to get pregnant with twins. They increase fertility by stimulating egg production. If more eggs are produced, the chances that more than one egg will be released during ovulation also increase.

The following are a few of the factors behind twin birth:

Family history

If twins run in your family, then you have a greater chance of carrying twins. Your partner’s family tree might be bursting with twins, but this won’t increase your odds much. Having twins doesn’t “skip generations,” so if your mom had twins, you might have higher chances, too!

Ethnicity

Ethnicity is another factor that can influence the chances of carrying two babies. Black people are more likely than Caucasian people to give birth to twins. Asian and Hispanic people are even less likely to become pregnant with two or more kids at a time.

Several pregnancies

Your odds of having twins go up with each pregnancy.

Age

Being older can also contribute to twin birth. Studies have shown that people who are over 35 have a higher chance of getting pregnant with non-identical twins. This is possibly because after the age of 35, the ovaries release more than one egg per month more often. Studies show that you produce more follicle-stimulating hormone when you’re over 35 than when you’re younger. This may cause more than one egg to be released during ovulation, which would increase the likelihood of having non-identical twins.

Body composition

Some researchers claim that people with a higher body mass index (BMI) have higher chances of carrying twins. People with a BMI greater than 30 before conception are more likely to give birth to non-identical twins. Health care providers don’t recommend gaining weight in order to have twins. Studies have also shown that for people who are 5 feet 4.5 inches (164 centimeters) or taller, the relative odds of having twins is 1.5–2 times higher than for those under 5 feet 1 inch (155 cm).
